Privacy policy

Garage Customs is a small shop in Austin, TX. We collect the minimum we need to work on your car and keep you informed, and we don’t sell any of it.

What we collect

Your name, email address and mobile number; how you heard about us; the vehicles you add to your garage (year, make, model, colour, plate, VIN); the jobs, quotes, payments and messages on those vehicles; and photos of the vehicle taken during work.

Why

To identify you when you sign in, to quote and carry out the work, to tell you what’s happening with your car, to answer your messages, and to keep records of approvals and payments.

Your mobile number

We use your mobile number only to send you messages about your vehicle and to receive your replies. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Our messaging provider (Twilio) carries the messages on our behalf and does not use your number for anything else.

Who sees it

The two of us who run the shop. The services that store and deliver it for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), SendGrid (email) and Twilio (texts). None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

Photos and video

Intake and progress photos live in your garage and our records. Footage for the YouTube channel is public; tell us before work starts if you’d rather your car stayed off it.

Keeping and removing it

We keep job records for as long as we’re in business, because they’re the history of your car. Email ayoub@garagecustomsatx.com to correct anything, to stop texts or emails, or to ask what we hold about you.
